]]> A contract to open game lounges at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport attracted just one proposal by the due date Thursday.

The company, calling itself Sky Gamerz, submitted a proposal for the contract to open and operate game lounges on Concourses E and T at the world’s busiest airport.

]]> While airport proposals and/or responses rarely warrant coverage from news outlets, the idea of a game lounge coming to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (HJAIA) did just that!  The excitement should not come as a surprise when you take into account that 65% of American adults enjoy playing video games! (Entertainment Software Association, 2019)  Not only are video games big fun, they are also big business.

In Georgia alone, the gaming industry added more than $430M to the state’s economy! (Entertainment Software Association, 2019)  All of this probably explains all the excitement.

Either way, Sky Gamerz is prepared to let HJAIA’s 110 million passengers in on the fun!
